Terms of service

The agreement between you and Mirrors, Inc. for using Mirrors. Plain wording on purpose: what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what happens if either side wants to stop.

Agreeing to these terms

Creating an account or using Mirrors means you accept these terms. If you are agreeing for a company, you are confirming you are allowed to bind it, and “you” below means that company. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service.

What the service is

Mirrors rebuilds the systems your AI agents call and replays recorded sessions against them, so you can test a prompt, tool or model change before it reaches production. We may change, add or remove features as the product develops. If we remove something you depend on, or make a change that materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell account holders before it takes effect.

Your account

Keep your credentials and API keys to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised. Activity under your account is your responsibility, and you are responsible for the people you invite into your workspace. You need to be able to form a binding contract to hold an account; Mirrors is sold to businesses and is not directed at children under 16.

Acceptable use

Do not use Mirrors for any of the following:

  • Breaking the law, infringing someone else’s rights, or sending us content you have no right to send
  • Attacking the service: probing it for holes, overwhelming it, or working around limits, quotas and billing
  • Reselling Mirrors, or using it to build a directly competing product
  • Uploading credentials, keys or personal data you do not need to reproduce a run

If something you are doing threatens the service or another customer, we may suspend the account to stop it. We will tell you why, and we will restore access once it is resolved, unless the reason was serious enough to end the agreement outright.

Your content stays yours

The traces you send, the files you upload and everything derived from them stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the product for you: to store that content, process it, and build and replay environments from it. We do not use it to train models, we do not sell it, and it is not visible to other customers. You are confirming you have the right to send us what you send.

Mirrors itself stays ours: the service, the software behind it and our name and logo. These terms hand you a right to use the service, not to own any part of it. If you send us feedback we may act on it freely and without owing you anything for it.

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy and cookies notice, which forms part of these terms.

Plans, fees and trials

Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle shown at checkout, and usage-based charges are billed in arrears for the period they fall in. Fees exclude tax, which we add where we have to. Card details are entered on our payment processor's own checkout and never reach us.

Payments are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current period. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects you, and it takes effect on your next renewal, so you can cancel first. Free trials and credits are what they say they are on the offer: they can carry an expiry and a limit, and they are not a promise of future pricing.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Mirrors and close your account whenever you like. We can end the agreement if you materially breach these terms and have not fixed it within 30 days of us telling you, or immediately if the breach is one that cannot be fixed. Either way, ask us to delete your data and we complete it within 30 days, as described in the privacy notice. Export anything you want to keep before you close the account.

What we do and do not promise

We promise to provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, Mirrors is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not promise that a replay predicts what production will do. A staging environment narrows the risk in a change; it does not remove it, and the decision to ship stays yours.

Running a replay calls a language model. Those calls are sent with zero data retention requested, but the model provider's own terms govern that call, and model output can be wrong. Review it before you rely on it.

Limits on liability

Neither side is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, even if warned it was possible. Each side's total liability arising out of these terms is capped at the fees you paid or owed us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You will cover us against third-party claims arising from your content or from your use of the service in breach of these terms, and we will do the same for you against claims that the service itself infringes someone's intellectual property rights.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update this page and the date at the top, and we tell account holders directly before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Mirrors after that means you accept the new version. If you do not, cancel before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms, together with the privacy notice and any order form, are the entire agreement between us.
